Happy First Birthday, BLT.com

Happy 1st Birthday Bush League Times, where did the time go? It's hard to believe that it's been a year since BLT, as it was once succinctly said, was improvised out of nothing more than a handful of determination, a bushel of rage, & a quart of Vance Law’s sweat. When we started this site we were all fans of FJM.com, who knew that over the course of our first year we would be responsible for putting them out of business?** It's also no coincidence that the Sun-Times and Tribune are in rough economic times as BLT has forever changed the way that sports are covered.***

We continue to stride forward at BLT because, well, we have to. During BLT.com's lifetime, the Cubs have never missed the postseason. Of course they've never won a postseason series (or game) either, I'll let you decide which one of those streaks will end first. For now though, our goal is to be even better than we were in our first year. Luckily, we set the bar rather low so that shouldn't be too hard.
