Umpire Paul Schrieber issued an apology on Thursday morning to Magglio Ordonez and the Detroit Tigers for inappropriately touching the slugger.
Apparently the incident took place in the top of the 7th inning when Schrieber coaxed Ordonez over to his van with some candy and a puppy.
